Historic Band Photos, Articles, Ribbons & Trophies
Fortuna High Photo & Design has been working to preserve pieces of our schoolβs history by photographing and digitally archiving old photographs, trophies, awards, and memorabilia found throughout campus.
One of our latest projects took us into the Fortuna High Music Department archives, where years of band history have been preserved through old photographs, newspaper articles, competition ribbons, trophies, and other keepsakes.
These items offer a glimpse into the generations of Fortuna High students who have participated in the schoolβs music programs. From old group photographs and performances to awards earned at festivals and competitions, each piece represents another part of the long history of music at Fortuna High.
πΈ Preserving Our Archives
By photographing and organizing these materials, Photo & Design is helping create a digital record of Fortuna High history before photographs fade, newspaper clippings deteriorate, or important pieces of the school’s story are lost.
The Music Department collection is part of a larger effort to document historic photographs, trophies, awards, and other memorabilia from around Fortuna High so they can be preserved and shared with future generations of Huskies.

π Once a Husky, Always a Husky
These photographs and awards aren’t just objects in a display case or items tucked away in storage. Together, they tell the story of the students, teachers, performances, competitions, and traditions that helped shape Fortuna High.
We’re excited to continue uncovering, documenting, and preserving more pieces of our school’s history.
Go Huskies! ππΎ
