The Fortuna High Girls Soccer team opened its 2026 season in impressive fashion on Friday, August 21, defeating the McKinleyville Panthers 7–0 at home.
The Huskies controlled the matchup and kept McKinleyville off the scoreboard throughout the game. The victory gave Fortuna a 1–0 start to the season, while McKinleyville moved to 0–1.
It was a great way to begin a new season on the home field and an opportunity for Fortuna High fans to get their first look at this year’s Girls Soccer team in action.
