It was a special and successful day for Fortuna High Softball as the Huskies celebrated their seniors and delivered a doubleheader sweep against Arcata on May 2nd.
Fortuna did exactly what they needed to do to keep their Big 5 championship hopes alive, earning two strong wins:
- 10β0 (5 innings)
- 9β1
Between games, the focus shifted from competition to celebration as the program honored its seniors in a heartfelt Senior Night ceremony on the field. Each athlete was recognized as a script was read highlighting their thanks to family, coaches, and friends, along with their future plans. Seniors were presented with flowers and gifts, marking the moment with teammates and loved ones.
The Class of 2026 seniors honored were:
- Isabel Sanchez
- Hailee Thompson
- Olivia Hayes
Adding to the celebration, Isabel Sanchez reached an incredible milestone β 200 strikeouts during her high school pitching career β a testament to her dedication and impact on the program.
