🏈 Seniors Take the Win at Fortuna High Thursday Night Football!

One of Fortuna High’s favorite Homecoming traditions returned to Husky Field on Thursday, October 15, as the Senior and Junior classes faced off in the annual Thursday Night Football game! The girls took the field for flag football, the boys traded their helmets for pom-poms, and a huge crowd of family, friends, and community members came out to cheer on the Fortuna Huskies.

The evening started with both teams warming up, running plays, and getting ready for the big class rivalry. With bragging rights on the line, the Juniors and Seniors were ready to compete.

🏈 Girls on the Field, Boys on the Sidelines

Thursday Night Football flips the usual Friday night roles. The girls take over the football field while the boys become the cheerleaders, complete with routines, sideline cheers, and plenty of school spirit.

Members of the Fortuna High football program stepped into coaching roles, helping their classmates prepare plays, organize their teams, and navigate the game. Teachers and class advisors were also involved, supporting their students and helping keep the Homecoming tradition running smoothly.

Meanwhile, the boys cheer squads kept the crowd entertained from the sidelines, bringing their own personalities, energy, and a little comedy to the evening.

πŸ’™ Seniors Claim the Victory!

Both classes brought plenty of determination to the field, but when the final whistle blew, it was the Senior Class of 2027 celebrating the win over the Juniors!

The victory gave the Seniors another reason to celebrate during their final Homecoming at Fortuna High, while the Juniors showed plenty of class pride and competitive spirit throughout the game.

The stands were filled with spectators, with the Fortuna community turning out in droves to support the students. From classmates cheering for their friends to families watching from the bleachers, Husky Field was full of excitement throughout the night.

Our Fortuna High Photo & Design photographers were there to document the evening, capturing everything from pregame warmups and action on the field to boys cheer performances, student coaches, teachers, and the crowd.

Thursday Night Football is about more than winning a game. It’s a chance for students to try something different, work together as a class, and make memories that will stick around long after graduation.

Congratulations to the Seniors on their victory, and thank you to the Juniors, student coaches, cheer squads, teachers, advisors, and everyone who helped make the evening possible.
