Fortuna High welcomed the Class of 2030 to campus with our annual Freshman Orientation, giving our newest Huskies a chance to meet one another, learn about their new school, and start building connections before the school year gets underway.
Held in the gym, the orientation was led by PACK Leadership students, Activities Director Mr. Couch, and Mrs. G. Incoming freshmen were introduced to their class advisors and school administrators, helping students put some familiar faces to the people who will support them throughout their time at Fortuna High.
But orientation wasn’t just about introductions. Students participated in a variety of challenges, games, and get-to-know-you activities designed to get them moving, talking, laughing, and working together with their new classmates.
For students coming from different schools and experiences, the transition to high school can be a big one. Freshman Orientation has become a great Fortuna High tradition that helps make each incoming class feel welcomed, supported, and special as they begin the next four years together.
