Fortuna High was proud to host the Jr. All Region Music Festival in the Damon Gym, bringing together talented young musicians from across the region for a celebration of music, collaboration, and performance.
The festival featured ensembles made up of local students in grades 6thβ8th, including:
πΊ Junior Band
π» Junior Orchestra
π€ Junior Choir
π₯ Combined Percussion Ensemble
Students were nominated by their school music teachers earlier in the year and received sheet music in advance to prepare for the event. Over several days, they participated in intensive rehearsals led by local music educators, working together to refine their performances before culminating in a large community concert.
The event showcased not only the musical talent of the students, but also the power of arts education and collaboration throughout Humboldt County.
