🍎 Fortuna High Interact Club Volunteers at Apple Harvest Days 2026

October 3, 2026 β€’ Clendenen’s Cider Works, Fortuna

The Fortuna High Interact Club spent Saturday, October 3, helping celebrate one of Fortuna’s favorite fall traditions, Apple Harvest Days, at Clendenen’s Cider Works.

As families and visitors arrived to explore the orchard, Fortuna High students helped keep the tractor-pulled wagon tours running smoothly. Interact members assisted guests with climbing aboard and stepping down from the tall wagons, making sure everyone could safely enjoy their ride through the apple trees.

Several students also took on the role of orchard tour guides, sharing the story of the Clendenen family’s three-generation apple-growing operation. Using a script prepared by the family, students introduced visitors to the orchard’s history and its place in Fortuna’s agricultural heritage.

Beyond helping with the tours, the day gave our Huskies some valuable hands-on experience. From speaking to groups of visitors to helping families navigate the wagons, students practiced communication, teamwork, and community service while supporting a local family business.

Apple Harvest Days is a great example of what makes Fortuna special, bringing together local agriculture, family traditions, and volunteers of all ages. We’re glad our Fortuna High Interact students could be part of it again this year.

A big thank-you to Clif and Drew at Clendenen’s Cider Works for welcoming our students, and to all the Interact Club members and advisors who gave their time to help make the event a success.

πŸ’™πŸ€ Great work, Huskies! 🐾🍎
