Fortuna High students were proud to support a beloved local tradition during Apple Harvest Days 2025, volunteering at the orchard tours hosted by Clendenen’s Cider Works. Members of the Fortuna High Interact Club stepped up to help make the event welcoming, educational, and enjoyable for visitors of all ages.
Throughout the day, Interact students assisted guests as they boarded and exited the high wagons pulled by a tractor for orchard tours. Other students served as tour guides, reading a prepared script provided by the Clendenen family that shared the rich history of their three-generation apple orchard right here in Fortuna.
The experience gave students the opportunity to practice public speaking, hospitality, and community service—all while learning more about local agriculture and one of Fortuna’s longstanding family businesses.
A big thank-you to Clif and Drew at Clendenen’s Cider Works, our dedicated Interact students, and the advisors who helped make the day a success.
