As we head into the final week before Winter Break, Fortuna High is full of seasonal energy, important updates, and exciting opportunities for students. Here’s everything happening on campus this week.
Holiday Spirit Week Begins
Fortuna High is celebrating Holiday Spirit Week, inviting all students and staff to join the fun with themed dress-up days throughout the week:
- Monday: Holiday Spirit Head to Toe — festive hats, socks, shirts, and accessories
- Tuesday: Ugly Sweater Day
- Wednesday: Whoville Wednesday — dress like a Who or the Grinch
- Thursday: Candy Cane Day — red and white attire
- Friday: Christmas Morning Pajamas
A full week of school spirit is underway as Huskies close out 2025 in style.
December FFA Meeting & Dodgeball Event
Fortuna High’s FFA chapter will host its December Meeting on Thursday at 7:00 PM in the Little Theater.
Students should bring their passports, scan in for an activity, and stay afterward for a schoolwide dodgeball competition in the gym. All interested members are encouraged to attend.
Theatre Club: “You Can’t Take It With You”
Preparations are beginning for the spring production, You Can’t Take It With You.
- Crew Interviews: Monday, January 12, 2026 — 3:40–4:30 PM in CA-6
- Auditions: Tuesday, January 13, 2026 — 3:40–5:00 PM in the Theater
- Application Packets: Available starting December 16 outside Miss Olson’s classroom
Students interested in performing, tech, or backstage roles are invited to participate.

The 2025–26 Fortuna High Yearbook is available for $76.

Seniors are reminded that senior photos and quotes are due March 1, and custom pages and baby ads close April 5.
Holiday Grams Delivered This Week
Leadership will be delivering Holiday Grams across campus throughout the week, spreading festive cheer to both students and staff.
Holiday Door Decorating Contest
Classroom holiday doors are being judged today, with winners to be announced at Tuesday’s school rally. Creativity is high as teachers and students transform their hallways into winter wonderlands.
