On Sept. 4th, 2025 Fortuna High was honored to host Jon Pritikin, the motivational speaker behind Feel The Power, who delivered a powerful and unforgettable assembly to students. His mission? Jon’s presentation wasn’t just talk — it was showmanship fused with message. During the event, he amazed the audience with remarkable feats of strength and symbolic acts, including:
- Breaking a baseball bat in half
- Rolling up a frying pan with his bare hands
- Ripping a ream of paper in two
These moments served as physical metaphors for inner strength, resilience, and breaking through limitations.
His message also leaned hard on empathy, self-worth, and respect for others — especially in the face of bullying, self-doubt, and the pressures students face daily. Jon’s story is no stranger to hardship: he overcame learning disabilities, ridicule, and low self-esteem to become a world-traveled speaker and Guinness World Record–holding strength athlete.
